# How to Stake and Unstake

#### <mark style="color:purple;">How to Stake</mark>

1. Go to the [Stake Feature ](https://app.shadeprotocol.io/stake)on the Shade App
2. Enter the amount of $SHD you would like to stake
3. Click Stake
4. Approve the transaction

#### <mark style="color:purple;">How to Unstake</mark>

1. Go to the [Stake Feature](https://app.shadeprotocol.io/stake) on the Shade App
2. Click Unstake
3. Enter the amount of $SHD you would like to unstake
4. Click Unstake
5. Choose "Split LP Shares and Exit Pool" or "Get LP Shares"
6. Approve the transaction
7. After the 7 day unbonding period your SHD will be ready to be claimed back to your portfolio
