# How to move tokens from a CEX to Shade

#### <mark style="color:purple;">**How to move tokens from a CEX to Shade:**</mark>&#x20;

First select the CEX you want to move it from such as Coinbase, Binance, and Kraken. The CEX you have available depends on your location. If you have more than one option check trading fees and make a decision from there.

#### <mark style="color:purple;">**Option 1: To move tokens from Coinbase to Shade:**</mark>&#x20;

1. Open your wallet
2. Buy USDC (Noble) on Coinbase&#x20;
3. Copy + paste your Noble address to initiate withdrawal of USDC from Coinbase to your wallet&#x20;
4. Approve your transaction
5. Bridge on app.shadeprotocol.io/bridge (From: Noble / To: Secret Network)
6. Click Bridge and confirm the transaction
7. Create a viewing key on ShadeSwap or Portfolio to see your assets
8. Now you should have USDC (Noble) in your portfolio&#x20;

9. Create a viewing key on[ ShadeSwap](https://twitter.com/hashtag/ShadeSwap?src=hashtag_click) or Portfolio to see your assets
10. Click Bridge and confirm the transaction
11. Now you should have USDC (Noble) in your portfolio

#### <mark style="color:purple;">**Option 2: To move tokens from Binance to Shade:**</mark>&#x20;

1. Open your Binance App
2. Hover over the arrows next to your user name at the top right. Select Convert

3. Convert a token to ATOM (i.e., from BTC, to ATOM)

4. Click wallet in the navigation bar at the top of the webpage
5. Click Withdraw

6. Type or search for ATOM in the dropdown
7. Input the total amount of ATOM to send
8. Then go to your Keplr extension and click Deposit

9. Find and select Cosmos Hub
10. Your wallet address can be copied (the overlapping square icon)
11. Copy your Cosmos address and go back to Binance (withdraw), then Paste this address on the Recipient Address. Use a memo if needed.
12. Click Preview Withdrawal

13. Confirm the amounts and the address. Then click Confirm Withdrawal
14. Now go to the [Shade Bridge page](https://app.shadeprotocol.io/bridge)
15. Select FROM Cosmos, TO Secret Network
16. Select the asset (ATOM) and total amount to bridge.

17. Click Bridge and Approve the transaction
18. Now you should have Private ATOM in your portfolio

#### <mark style="color:purple;">**Option 3: To move tokens from Kraken to Shade:**</mark>

1. Go to Kraken app
2. On the homepage click Withdraw

3. From the drop down menu, select SCRT
4. You may need to convert one of your tokens to SCRT
5. Enter the recipients Secret wallet address
6. Choose an amount to withdraw and click Withdraw SCRT
7. On your Keplr app your SCRT will appear
8. Go to the [Shade App](https://app.shadeprotocol.io/) and click Swap (learn about swapping [here](https://docs.shadeprotocol.io/shade-protocol/get-started/step-4-swap-assets))
9. Swap SCRT tokens for SHD, SILK, or other tokens
