# How to Bid on an NFT

<mark style="color:purple;">**How to bid on a Shade NFT on Stashh**</mark>

1. Go to [Marketplace](https://stashh.io/marketplace)
2. Search at the top for the NFT *or Filter the NFT on the right side drop down and select Auction: Closing Soon*
3. Select the NFT you want to bid on
4. Place a bid higher than the initial price
5. The auction extends by 15 minutes each time a bid is added
6. The auction ends when no more bids are placed during the set timeframe
7. If you had the highest bid, you'll be notified as the new owner
8. Enable permissions to view your Shade NFT by adding the collection to your dashboard
